The bar chart illustrates how difficult 80 language school students found each of the four core skills to improve: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Overall, writing was reported as the most challenging skill to improve, while reading was considered the least difficult. Listening and speaking fell between these two extremes.

Just under 35 students identified writing as their most difficult skill to develop, making it the clear outlier among the four categories. Listening followed as the second most challenging skill, cited by approximately 30 students, roughly double the number who chose reading.

By contrast, only around 15 students found reading difficult to improve, the lowest figure recorded in the survey. Speaking occupied a middle position, with roughly 20 students reporting it as their most difficult skill, sitting between the figures for reading and listening.
